Projects from my New Tech classroom!!!!
Toondoo.com
My chemistry classes recently explored Toondoo.com to create comics about balancing equations. They were to answer one of three topics: How to balance equations, Why we need to balance equations, or What is the Law of Conservation of matter. Here are some examples of their work!
Glogster.com
This was an example Glog that I used to show the
students what the site could do!
Students were assigned a compound and they had to find visuals for represent that compound. Those visuals were to represent how the compound looks on a molecular level, how we obtain the compound, how we use the compound, and how it looks to us if it were sitting on the shelf. Students were to use Glogster to make a poster of these items.
Egg Drop Project
Students were given the task of being able to drop an egg from the balcony and have it "survive" the fall. They were given the materials to use and the Laws of Motion to overcome! They were to explain how the Laws of Motion were coming into play, and how they overcame them! The students were excited to drop their containers. We had several survivors, but a few fatalities!
